There is a growing number of global events focussing on healing the climate coming up in October. Here is a selection with links provided.
Permaculture Water Summit
October 13 to 15 2022 (live and online)
This is a free three-day event presented by the University of Oregon and led by Andrew Millison. Andrew Millison has produced an inspiring range of YouTube videos about how people use water harvesting to rebuild water supplies and aquifers and heal the climate. Climate Landscapes Conference
2.00 to 9.00 p.m. (CEST) October 18 to 19 2022 (online)
This conference features a stunning array of global authorities on earth systems (see a sample below). The questions the conference asks are:
- What do we know about the complex interrelationships of vegetation, soils, water & climate?
- What land use practices support these natural relationships?
- How can policy support implementation?

Open Future Forum
18 to 20 October (online)
The Open Future Coalition invites participants to “engage in a series of cross-sectoral discussions, design sprints, and topical roundtables to advance participatory demonstration projects, share models and examples from their own efforts, and cross-pollinate theories and frameworks based on these examples of applied action”.

Two other events that will be featured in future posts are:
… and then there’s the Aotearoa Climate Strikes on 23-Sep 2022, organised by Fridays For Future. See https://fridaysforfuture.org/september23/
