In a recent post I suggested getting together locally in Whangārei to talk for an hour about a selected podcast. There are a few people interested so lets start in at 10.00 a.m. Saturday 18 May at the Library on Rust Avenue.
I suggest this time because it is after the Growers Market has finished and there is already a Transitions Whangārei group meeting in the library on Saturday mornings.
The first podcast is Tom Chi, interviewed by Nate Hagans. Here is a post I wrote about it with some themes that I have teased out that were relevant to me. Here is a link to the post, or here is a direct link to the podcast at Nate Hagan’s website.
Please nominate recent podcasts that you would recommend. Given that our focus goes beyond climate change to other facets of the metacrisis. My preference is that they share ideas that help us to build community and climate/metacrisis solutions.
If you would like to come, please contact me, leave a comment, or just turn up.
If you are not local and you would be interested in doing an online version please contact me or leave a comment.
If there are more than seven people, I suggest we split into groups of no more than seven so everyone gets to share.
We might start with a quick attempt to have some conversation guidelines to ensure the conversation flows.
Inaugrual Podcast Conversation
Time: 10.00 a.m. Saturday 18 May
Venue: Somewhere quiet upstairs at the library.
Here is the Youtube version of the Tom Chi podcast – but it is over two hours long so you might want to listen instead.
Thanks Bruce. Apologies from me for 18th. I’m away until the end May, but it’s a good initiative. NgaMihi
